How does Boilers Direct work?

We match you with a local gas-safe installer who can carry out the work, professionally at a date and time to suit you. 

Our buying power, ensures you get the best price for the boiler you choose, and our installers make sure each install is done exactly to manufacturer guidelines. 

All of our work is guaranteed and your boiler installation will receive all the relevant install paperwork, guarantees and proof of valid install.

How do I apply for finance?

During the quote process, simply let us know if you want to pay monthly. Our finance team will work out the monthly price based on the term, boiler and options costs and subject to status, once finance is approved, we can proceed with your installation

Who provides finance offering?

Boilers Direct is an introducer-appointed representative of Koze Group Ltd, a credit broker not a lender. Koze Group Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 811281) registered in England (08357963). We offer finance products from a panel of lenders. Credit is subject to age and status.

Can I settle finance early?

Yes, just contact Koze directly. You will have an account set-up direct with them and can over pay or settle outstanding finance. 

Do I need to make a deposit?

For finance applications, you do not have to make any deposit. However, you can if you wish. This will reduce the overall cost you pay and subsequently, the amount of interest. A deposit would lower your monthly payments and / or reduce the term. 

Can I pay over several cards?

Sure. You will need to contact us, but we can split payment over two or more cards (within reason). Please use our Live-Chat or phone us to discuss options. 

How quickly can you install?

As quickly as next day, assuming we have the model you need available or can collect quickly. Where possible, we will always aim to install to suit your needs. 

If you have a specific urgent request, we recommend you contact us directly. To speed up the process, ensure you have filled in a quote first so we have the information ready. 

Why should I choose Boilers Direct?

We can supply the boiler brand and model you want, the installation options you choose and install on a day you require, with or without finance as needed, for a better price than other quotes you get. 

Some people like the big brand names, but these brands charge much more than you need to pay and frequently, we halve the quotes that customers have been given from the big brands.

How much will a new boiler cost?

Prices differ based on the type of boiler, model and other factors including extra options you may choose to include. Visit the dedicated website for your local area and click the quote button to find out more information and get a price instantly. 

Replace or Repair?

It depends on how old your boiler is and whether parts are available. Also, it brings into question whether it’s worth it. 

If you have an inefficient boiler, you need to take into consideration the potential savings of a new boiler which can heat your house quicker and use less energy doing so, vs an old boiler repair bill. 

With a repair, you have no idea of time left. You are paying for the parts and labour and have no guarantee how long the boiler will continue to operate.  

Are your installers Gas-Safe registered?

Absolutely, 100%. All installers are fully certified to install, repair and maintain boilers. 

Will Boilers Direct issue a guarantee?

Your installation will be guaranteed by the installer and the boiler itself will be guaranteed by the manufacturer. After your installation, you will be provided with an official certificate and guarantee document. 

How messy is the installation?

Generally, not at all. If there is any need for drilling (to upgrade pipes), we will lay flooring covering and ensure we clear up after ourselves.

When working throughout your home e.g entering lofts and rooms to bleed radiators, we wear appropriate foot coverings to ensure we work tidy. 

Do I need to be in on install day?

You, or someone you nominate should be on-site. If this is not possible, please contact us so we can advise how to proceed. 

Do I need a combi-boiler?

We will either replace the same type of boiler or advise on moving to a combi, if your property would be suitable. We can discuss this with you during the quote process. 

Will you flush the system and radiators?

Yes – our gas-safe installers will complete a chemical flush of the full system as standard, using a chemical cleaning solution to break down built-up sludge. They then add fresh water back into the system, which uses natural flow pressure to flush out the debris.

Pre-Install FAQ

Will the installer take away my old boiler?

Unless you ask us not to, we will remove any relevant waste from the installation and dispose of your boiler in the correct way. 

If your boiler contains asbestos, we will be happy to discuss organising a specialist contractor to remove it and the additional costs that will be involved.

Will you recycle my old boiler?

Where possible, we will recycle and use to avoid necessary landfill. Our aim is to be as efficient as possible in the waste we manage.

Do I need to prepare anything?

Please make sure we are able to park and access the working areas. We will need clear, un-restricted access to work, so please prepare the working area to ensure our installers can work. 

Will you specify an install time?

We will specify an AM or PM for y 

Will you bring guarantee paperwork?

Not on install day. Once we have installed, we submit the paperwork to your boiler manufacturer and obtain the guarantee documents, which will then be sent to you. 

On installation day, you will be left with a check sheet sign off document to confirm the installation has been carried out to manufacturers recommended standards. 

Can I change the install date?

Yes, but we need to know 72 hours in advance. If you have any problem and need to change, please contact us via Live Chat or ring your installer directly. 

Post-Install FAQ

Do I need to keep my guarantee filed?

Yes, please keep any important paperwork filed safely, in case you ever need it. Remember, it is important to keep your boiler maintained to recommended level, stipulated by your boiler manufacturer. An annual service is important. 

Will you activate my guarantee?

Yes, we handle all of this for you and deal with the manufacturer. You simply wait for your guarantee paperwork after install. 

Is the actual installed guaranteed?

Yes – your install is covered by a warranty backed by the installer. The length of the guarantee will be explained during the install. 

What if my boiler breaks down?

Get in touch with your installer or contact us, to arrange someone who can help. 

Do you offer a monthly / annual care plan?

Yes, we have an annual plan which you can choose to pay monthly if you prefer. We will then contact you every year, around the same time, to book your regular service. 

Who carries out the service?

Any qualified Gas Safe engineer can carry out your annual service. This means it can be your boiler manufacturer, one of our approved Boilers Direct gas-safe engineers.

Note: You must have your boiler serviced every year to make sure your warranty is still valid.
